I create stories for those hardened by life and still finding ways to be kind and good.
My work lives in the emotional undercurrents: identity, grief, generational trauma, cultural dissonance, and the love that tries — and sometimes fails — to hold it all together. Whether I’m building branching dialogue or writing a quiet, devastating scene between two characters, I aim to leave players feeling seen, haunted, and transformed.
As a Vietnamese-Chinese American narrative designer with roots in music, film, and creative production, I blend cinematic storytelling with emotional worldbuilding. My work often explores Asian mythology, inherited pain, gender expectations, and the quiet rebellion of selfhood, especially for characters trying to break cycles or survive them.
I’ve directed and produced music videos with over half a million views, been featured on NBC, and crafted narrative experiences across indie games. I specialize in stories that treat pain as sacred, villains as reflections, and magic as metaphor.
Creatively, I’m inspired by The Last of Us, Life is Strange, The Haunting of Hill House, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Everything Everywhere All at Once. I love stories that are messy, mythic, and tender — the kind that let you grieve, hope, and heal at once.
When I’m not writing or designing, I’m teaching swim, running an online community of writers, and leading my own indie dev studio.

My Thoughts on AI
As you may have noticed, some images on my portfolio are found on Google Images, but I cannot guarantee that they aren't AI, given how quickly AI is adapting. I understand that AI usage may be controversial in the gaming industry and want to share my thoughts and perspective as we all navigate this space together.
I do not believe in nor support AI in replacing people. I believe that people should be paid for their work and that only true quality can come from the human mind.
I believe AI can make some jobs easier, research faster, and in the cases of my portfolio, serve as a placeholder. It can be an accessible way for writers to fill in the space and add appealing temporary visuals to accompany their writing. However, with this usage, it should never be used in an unethical manner that steals art or styles from existing artists.
Though I believe in needing to remain ahead of the curve and keeping up with modern technology, that should never be done at the expense of hard-working artists or the environment. I believe that AI can never truly replace humans in terms of creativity, emotion, and most importantly, heart.
